Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

I want to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for making our Whole School Production such a remarkable success.

This year’s event was a vibrant celebration of talent and teamwork, featuring three enchanting parts: the Prep to Year 2 presentation of Journey of the Noble Gnarble, the lively performance of the Lobster Band, and the captivating show Finding Nemo Jnr by our Year 3 to Year 6 students. Each segment showcased the incredible creativity and dedication of our students, and it was a joy to see them shine on stage.

A special thank you goes out to our talented Musical Director, Mrs. Ann Earle. Her vision and expertise brought our musical elements to life, and her guidance was invaluable to our performers. Additionally, we owe a great deal of gratitude to Mrs. Jen Brown, our Art Director, whose artistic flair transformed our stage into a magical setting, capturing the imagination of everyone in attendance.

I would also like to express our appreciation for Danny Benoiton, who created our stunning main props—the Whale, Stingray, and Turtle. His craftsmanship added an extra layer of magic to the performances and truly brought our shows to life.

Furthermore, a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Liz Lamb, Ms Sarah Blaney and Miss Millie Harris for their exceptional coordination and backstage work. Their attention to detail ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing our performers to shine.  Special mention to Mr Daidone, Mr Hale and Mr Edwards for the extra assist back stage as well.

Finally, I want to acknowledge the many staff members and parents who contributed their time and energy to make this event possible. From backstage support to front-of-house coordination, your efforts did not go unnoticed and were key to our success.

Thank you once again for your unwavering support and enthusiasm. Together, we created unforgettable memories for our students and our community. We look forward to more exciting events in the future!

Mrs Earle's Farewell

Tomorrow we will be holding a farewell assembly for Mrs. Earle in the School hall beginning at 2:50pm.  All families are invited to attend.  Mrs Earle has been teaching at St. Patrick's School since 1999!  We wish her all the best in her retirement.

Pyjama Day on Friday 18th October

Tomorrow the Year 6 SRC students will be holding a Pyjama Day to celebrate the end of a huge production week.  All children are invited to attend school in their favourite onesie or pyjamas.  Please ensure that runners/shoes are also worn to protect feet during the day. There is no gold coin donation for this day.

Summer Uniform

From the start of Term 4 all students can begin to wear their School Summer Uniform. The full transition to Summer Uniform will be by Monday 21st October (Week 3, Term 4).  Please note that as we are a sunsmart school, all students are required to wear their school hats.  All staff will be enforcing the 'no hat, no play' policy.  I also strongly encourage all students to wear sunscreen every day and to reapply sunscreen before going out to lunch.

Year 6 2025 Jumpers

Recently the current Year 5 students have completed surveys on the type of jumper they would like to have next year, and also the design on the back.  I am please to announce that they have selected a blue hoodie style jumper (no zip on the front).  They have also selected the design for the back of the jumper as well.  Ordering information and instructions will be sent to current year 5 families in the next week or so.  We have a selection of sizes in the office for students to try on for sizing purposes.

Above is the winning design colour and style.  Please note that the winning style has no front zip.

P & F Colour Run

Don't forget that we will be holding our first ever colour run on Friday 1st November.  Please use the following link to register your child/children for this exciting event https://colourblast.com.au/registration/?stpatsmentone

The colour run will now be held on the school grounds due to logistics on the day.

The fundraising for this event will go directly to our P & F project of replacing the senior students adventure playground.  We have selected our playground company and the design, and are in the process of finalising the colour scheme.
