Lights, camera, action: SOAR captures school life

SOAR Club students have been busy embarking on an ambitious project to produce a trailer showcasing life at our school from a student’s perspective. This initiative, driven by our talented and creative students, aims to highlight the unique aspects of our school and what it’s like to be a student in the heart of the CBD.

The trailer will take viewers through a typical day at St George’s, capturing the vibrant energy and dynamic environment that our students experience daily.

One of the primary goals is to showcase the many positives of attending St George’s. The students have meticulously planned scenes that highlight our state-of-the-art facilities, engaging classroom activities, and the supportive community that makes our school special. They will also feature interviews with students and teachers, offering personal insights and stories that reflect the spirit of our school. Being located in the CBD offers our students unique opportunities and experiences that are unlike any other. The trailer will explore how our central location enhances the educational experience, from easy access to cultural landmarks and businesses, to the vibrant city life that surrounds us.

The SOAR Club has been hard at work, planning every detail of the production. From scriptwriting and storyboarding to filming and editing, the students are involved in every step of the process. This project not only allows them to express their creativity but also teaches valuable skills in teamwork, project management, and media production.

To ensure the trailer is as impactful as possible, the students have consulted with the school’s Marketing and Community Engagement Manager. This collaboration has provided them with valuable tips on storytelling, audience engagement, and effective communication. The guidance has been instrumental in refining their approach and ensuring the trailer resonates with both current and prospective students.

We can’t wait to share this exciting project with the school community.
