2024 School Council

Dear Parents, 

As a parent of now four boys who have, or are, making their way through Mackellar Primary School, and as school council president, last week made me both extremely thankful and proud of the amazing school we have. 

Whilst Simon detailed the events of last week in his page, from a parent's perspective I can only marvel at the way our students, staff and community band together to achieve amazing things.  

Last week's art show was a prime example of our community coming together to celebrate children, and the wonderful things they achieve when given the opportunity. As a council, we have been working hard on improving the opportunities for parents and our community to come together, and last week was proof our efforts are working. Thank you to everyone who came along to our art show. 

To our IDEAS team, congratulations on being named finalists, and while the award went to another well deserving school, we are so very proud and lucky to have such hardworking and dedicated staff improving all aspects of our school far beyond the basic requirements of their job. To you all - thank you and well done!

I hope you all have some time to relax over the five-day break from school just as I will with my family.
