Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge

Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge is a nationwide movement to raise awareness and funds for homelessness across Australia. Following Nedd Brockmann's impressive run of 1,000 miles in just 12 days, this challenge asked people across Australia to step out of their comfort zone for 10 days. From October 20th to 29th, individuals took on their personal challenges while raising money for a great cause.

My personal challenge was to run 1 kilometre every day, increasing in distance by 1 kilometre each day. So, within ten days, I ran a total of 55 kilometres. This was both physically and mentally demanding yet rewarding overall and helped me to be a better person altogether.

Many students and teachers from our school signed up to complete their own personal challenges, such as completing a certain number of steps per day, running kilometres, cold showers or even no social media for 10 days straight.

So far, the challenge has raised over $4.5 million towards its goal of $10 million to be used to prevent homelessness here in Australia. Even though the Challenge is over, it’s still not too late to donate to the Beaumaris Secondary College Page to reach our goal of $500.

Thank you!
