Artspace

A place to put your imaginations into action

Students have been busy creating in the art space, and as I shared in the last news item, Preps to year 2s have been creating imaginary birds to sit in our classroom Nickle Nackle tree. They were beautifully on display for a week until the folding doors had to be opened, but we are looking for a new home for them soon as they are too delightful to keep in our folders.

Here is a photo of our glorious tree, the birds created using sharpies, wax crayon, and water colourpaint. We drew inspiration from the illustrations of Lynley Dodd, author of The Nickle Nackle Tree. I have included close ups so you can better inspect their beautiful creations.

Enjoy,
