Sustainability Club

Sustainability Club Tuesdays 1:40pm - 2:15pm

As we embrace the changing seasons, our Sustainability Club has been hard at work nurturing our connection to the earth and fostering sustainable practices. Over the past fortnight, our green-fingered enthusiasts have been busy preparing the garden beds and planting garlic bulbs in anticipation of this year's bountiful crop. With care and dedication, our students have lovingly prepared the earth, creating a nurturing environment for our garlic bulbs to thrive.

As we eagerly await the arrival of December, we're filled with excitement at the prospect of reaping the fruits of our labor. Last year, we learned a valuable lesson when someone harvested the entire crop without seeking permission—a little whoops indeed! But fear not, for we are more than happy to share the fruits of our labor with you. While we may not be able to part with the entire crop, we invite you to reach out and ask if you'd like to enjoy some of our homegrown produce. After all, sharing is caring, and together, we can spread the joy of sustainability far and wide.

As we continue to nurture our garden and cultivate a culture of environmental stewardship within our school community, we invite you to join us on this journey of growth and discovery. Whether you have a green thumb or simply a passion for making a positive impact, there's a place for you in our Sustainability Club.

Thank you for your ongoing support, and here's to a harvest season filled with abundance, connection, and shared sustainability.

Indigital Program

In this fortnight's Indigital session, students continued on an exciting journey that seamlessly blended the natural world with the digital realm. Some students ventured outdoors, soaking up the sunshine as they gained perspective on our school garden while immersing themselves in the virtual landscape of Minecraft. Witnessing the speed and skill with which these students built and coded within the game was truly awe-inspiring. Even as Aasta learns, she acknowledges the remarkable pace set by her students, demonstrating the impressive capabilities of these budding builders and coders.

Meanwhile, indoors, the rest of the students continued to hone their digital design skills using Tinkercad. With a focus on precision and creativity, they continued to explore building 3D representational models, with a specific focus on capturing the essence of the Victorian Grasslands Earless Dragon.

As our Indigital program continues to evolve, we are continually amazed by the ingenuity and enthusiasm of our students. Whether they're exploring virtual landscapes in Minecraft or crafting intricate digital designs in Tinkercad, they're not only expanding their technological skills but also fostering a deeper connection with the world around them. Stay tuned for more updates as our students continue to push the boundaries of innovation and creativity in the weeks ahead.
