Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden

Grant from East Wimmera Health Service

This week we had Stacey and Maddie from East Wimmera Health Service join us in the kitchen. Charlton College was extremely fortunate to have been offered the opportunity to apply for a grant through them for our garden program. We are excited to announce we were successful in obtaining $1100! This will go towards new gardening equipment. We look forward to sharing what we purchased early next semester. We thank Stacey and Maddie for this opportunity.

Fried Rice Lettuce Cups & Rhubarb Muffins 

On our menu we had Fried rice lettuce cups, Indian flat bread, sweet potato and apple quinoa salad along with Rhubarb and lemon muffins. From the garden we harvested eggs, lemons, parsley, mint, silverbeet and spring onions. The vote was a tie between the muffins and fried rice. We hope you enjoy making this at home.
