Acknowledgement of Country

As part of our on-going commitment to reconciliation and building cultural respect and awareness, our school continues to actively incorporate an Acknowledgement of Country into our everyday learning and celebrations at school.  This includes at the start of assemblies and other significant events, as well as at the start of each day in classrooms.  Both Indigenous and non-Indigenous students and staff are invited to participate during Acknowledgements of Country – either by listening respectfully, or by volunteering to share their own Acknowledgement.  This practice is an important element of our school’s Reconciliation Action Plan, and has become part of daily welcome and rollcall procedure.
