The DEET Medication Policy States.

Many students are presenting to the sick bay requesting Panadol/Paracetamol for headaches or menstrual health issues.  

The DEET Medication Policy States: 

Schools must not:

• store or administer painkillers such as aspirin and paracetamol as a standard first aid strategy as they can mask signs and symptoms of serious illness or injuries.  

We also do not provide heat packs.

Students are not to contact their parents/caregivers themselves and will only be checked into sick bay when they present a pink “OUT OF CLASS PASS”.

Students are welcome to sit and rest in the sick bay with water, and if deemed necessary, front office staff will call home for them to be collected.
