Principal’s Report

National Reconciliation Week

This week as we celebrate National Reconciliation Week, we take the time to acknowledge and celebrate the history and culture of Indigenous Australians and work towards Reconciliation through activities and discussions.

The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2024, Now More Than Ever, reminds us that no matter what, the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will — and must — continue. There have been many moments in Australia’s reconciliation journey that make us want to turn away. But when things are divisive, the worst thing we can do is disengage or disconnect.

Now more than ever, the work continues. In treaty making, in truth-telling, in understanding our history, in education, and in tackling racism. We need a connection. We need respect. We need action. And we need change.  Now more than ever, we need reconciliation.

On Friday 31st May some of our Grade 6 students will participate in the Diocesan Mass for Healing & Justice at Catherine McAuley College.

Sacramental Celebrations

  • This week we celebrate the students from St Kilian’s who will receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. The Sacramental Masses will occur in the St Kilian’s Parish on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. We congratulate the candidates receiving the Sacraments over the weekend and thank the parents of the candidates for their support and preparation during the Sacramental program.  All members of our school community are invited to attend the masses to support our students.
  • Parish Masses are Saturday 1st June at 6:30 pm and Sunday 2nd June at 10:00 am.
