STAFF WELLBEING WEEK

We are having a Wellbeing Week this week to celebrate and thank all the wonderful staff at Croydon Hills Primary School. As a School we are inclusive in wanting to assist with the Wellbeing of all staff, students, their families and our extended school community.

Wellbeing is strongly linked to happiness and life satisfaction. Promoting wellbeing can help prevent stress and create positive working environments where individuals can thrive.

There are 5 main areas of Wellbeing

  • Physical Wellbeing.
  • Emotional Wellbeing.
  • Social Wellbeing.
  • Intellectual Wellbeing.
  • Spiritual Wellbeing.

At Croydon Hills Primary School we are always looking for ways to improve and expand our Wellbeing at our School. We hope that all the staff enjoy all the fun activities we have planned this week.

We have found a few amazing opportunities for parent well-being support and education through the Maroondah City Council Children & Family Newsletter, including the following free and quality sessions for parents and carers:

'Managing Challenging Behaviors' - June 11 2024 7pm-8:30pm Online.

And ' Dad's Chat: Supporting Dads and Male Carers' -June 24th 2024 7pm-9pm at Chirnside Park Football Club.

From the Intercultural Captains

We write to you with great pride about the Sayembara Lisan assessments last week.

We were very impressed with all of the students who presented last week for their assessment. As intercultural captains, we were there to help them practise before their assessment. All of the students were very calm, relaxed and focused. Though some were nervous they all supported each other. Unfortunately, not all of the students could progress to the finals.

The following students were selected today to participate in the Sayembara Lisan Finals on Saturday the 27th of July:

Senior (Level III): Arya J and Adhya J

Middle (Level II): Meher M and Anvitha R

We  will be hosting a morning tea for all of the Sayembara Lisan participants soon, and we would love to have them all there. We will send details in the coming days.

For the successful students, we will continue practising for the Finals as per usual. Monday and Tuesday Recess for Middle, Thursday and Friday Recess for Seniors.

From the Intercultural Captains,

Syna and Hailey.
