Ranges TEC

This week at Ranges TEC:

The students are settling in well this year, and there’s been a joy as we get to know each other better.

 

Year 10 students are engaged in their taster program, where they experience each of the trades we offer. Year 10 and Year 11 students have also been busily preparing for their upcoming camps that are happening in the coming weeks. It’s been fantastic to see our students take initiative and work together.

 

Last week, the Year 11s enjoyed an excursion to the city, where they visited the Shrine of Remembrance. Meanwhile, the Year 12s are in the process of planning their community project for a local primary school. They will be building a cubby house and a gaga ball pit—a Ranges TEC specialty!

 

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), we also run community courses, including First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid. At the heart of what we do is equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to provide a safe and supportive space for others. 

 

If you're interested in becoming certified in First Aid or Mental Health First Aid, here are the upcoming courses on offer:

 

Provide First Aid (HLTAID011)

• Mon 17th March & Mon 24th March (4:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

• Mon 26th May & Mon 2nd June (4:00 PM – 9:00 PM)

 

Youth Mental Health First Aid

• Mon 5th May & Mon 12th May (4:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
