Breakfast Club: Supporting Student Wellbeing
At Truganina P-9 College, we endeavour to have our students’ actively learning and achieving their learning goals every day.
Research has shown that a child’s ability to concentrate in class, self-regulate and learn is negatively impacted if they are hungry. Enjoyment of healthy foods and drinks has proven to facilitate a wide range of positive benefits for students' health and learning.
The Truganina P9 Breakfast Club runs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 8:20 am, providing students with a nutritious start to the day. Running on donations from Foodbank, the program aims to support student wellbeing by ensuring they have access to breakfast before school, helping them to stay focused and engaged in their learning.
Students attending Breakfast Club can choose from a selection of cereal with milk and toast with Nutella, jam, or butter.
All students are welcome to drop in and enjoy breakfast before heading into class. Whether they need a quick bite or simply want to start the morning with friends in a relaxed setting, we encourage them to come along!
We look forward to seeing our students bright and early!
