Student Activities

Year 7 Phillip Island Camp

Our Year 7 students had an amazing three days at Phillip Island Adventure Camp. They made the most of the sunshine, taking part in surf lessons, adventure activities, and team bonding games. To top it all off, they danced the night away at their fluro disco—the perfect way to end a great trip.

Well done to all students for embracing the adventure, and a huge thank you to our staff for making it such a fantastic experience!

The Writers Club

The Writer’s Club is now in full swing every Thursday lunchtime in SP212. What started as a small group has grown into a thriving club of 20 students who come together to write, share ideas, and enjoy some delicious donuts (thanks to the English Department!).

Whether you're working on a novel, play, poem, essay, or just want to free-write in a relaxed space, this is the place for you. With music to help you focus and a supportive group of fellow writers, it’s the perfect spot to get creative.

As Isabelle says: "Writer’s Club is a great place to sit, write, and share ideas out of the weather. Come and join us!"

Marian's Kitchen

We welcomed back Marian’s Kitchen earlier this Term, which is a student-led initiative within the VCE Hospitality class! Under the guidance of Hospitality teacher Mr Smith, students take on real-world culinary roles—including Head Chef, where they design the menu and sell meals to staff for lunch.

To kick off the year, Student Head Chef Lucas Lenne has crafted a fresh and delicious summer menu

Year 9 Art – Mini Meal Sculptures

Our Year 9 Art class has completed their Mini Meal Sculpture task! Students designed and crafted miniature versions of meals using air-dry clay, focusing on the Art principles of Scale and Proportion.

VM Industry Visit

Our Year 11 VCE VM students kicked off their first industry visit for 2025, meeting David, Toby, and Tracey from Turnbull Toyota. They toured Turnbull Toyota and Turnbull Hino Truck Centre, building valuable connections and exploring apprenticeship and workplace opportunities. They then had the opportunity to visit Tequa Plumbing & Civil, where they met with CEO Trent Fairweather. They learnt about the Tequa Academy, student pathways, employment opportunities, and the wide range of services Tequa offers.
