With a sea of green and gold covering Goldsworthy Reserve, our house athletics day got off to a flying start in perfect weather. While our 9/10, 11 and 12/13 year old groups were fighting it out on the track and field, our 6, 7 and 8 year olds were having fun throwing gumboots and trying to keep eggs on their spoons as they sprinted down the front straight.
A huge thank you to all the parents who came along to cheer on their children, with some even dressing in their house colours too! To our parent helpers, we thank you so much for your continued support. We could not run these events without your willingness to get involved and it is very much appreciated.
Well done to all students who did a great job competing, even when the temperature started to climb. We saw and heard of many acts of kindness and great sportsmanship throughout the day.
Once again, it was a tightly contested competition between the houses all day, with the results going down to the wire. Eventually, it was the Lok Lok Eagles taking out the win in 2025! Congratulations to all members of Lok Lok and to all those who won ribbons on the day.

What a busy time our students have had with many sporting activities on the agenda this term. The latest saw many of our students heading out to Eastern Gardens to participate in the 2025, SSA Cross Country event. Congratulations to all our students who participated, with everyone completing the course. This is one of the hardest events for the year with our younger students completing a 2km course and our senior students a grueling 3km run. We had some great results this year with six of our students making the top 10 in their age group. Lilah Cole put in the performance of the day, coming 1st in the 8yo girls, with Pippa Burns coming an impressive 4th in the same age group. Eliza Worsley came 10th in the 12/13 girls and we had three students who will head off next term to represent the SSA district at the division event. (8 year old age group is ineligible to progress) Congratulations to Charlotte O’Brien, 9/10G, Sienna Turnbull, 11G and Noah Smith, 12/13B who all placed 4th in their age groups, with qualifying times. We wish them all well for the next event.
