Rubbish-Free Lunch Boxes

Hello everyone and welcome to our newsletter Environment and Sustainability update.

This year we will continue to ask students to bring rubbish-free lunch boxes. This means we would prefer no wrappers at school. The Environment and Sustainability Leaders will continue to remind and monitor classes as students work hard towards achieving a rubbish-free environment at Resurrection School. Good luck everyone, maybe the Sparkly Lunch Box Trophy will go to your class next!

The Kitchen Garden

The Kitchen Garden had a rest over the summer break and we are very thankful to Yvonne and Peter who voluntarily watered and nurtured the garden and tended to our worm farm while we were away.

There has been lots of work to do preparing the beds ready for Farm to Table and Garden Club Many thanks to our new Environment and Sustainability Leaders and other garden club helpers and volunteers, who have worked hard in the garden. It is great to see the garden springing back to life and looking great!

Garden Club will continue to be at lunchtimes on Thursday and we look forward to seeing students there. If parents or carers are interested in assisting with the Kitchen Garden you can contact Mrs Magree via the office.
