Year 7 Band Program
At Macleod College all Year 7 students learn an instrument, and it is fabulous to see all the students return their form so that they can take their instruments home to practice. If you require another form, please visit the music office.
All students should be completing 10 minutes practice on their instruments every day. In Term 2 we will be having a Year 7 Music Breakfast Concert. Your support can make all the difference to the success of each student.
Cinderella
Rehearsals having been underway every Wednesday afternoon for our musical, ‘Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella’. There are a number of items that I am hopeful you could donate to us. Please see the link here for more information.
SongMakers
16 Macleod College music students have the incredible opportunity to take part in the SongMakers Songwriting Workshop this year (April 1 and 2). . In this workshop they will spend a full school day at Macleod, writing a song with a small group of other students. Then on the second day they will be recording their compositions professionally.
During this time they will be guided by professional musicians and producers, and will learn about the music industry. More information can be found here - https://songmakers.com.au/
