The Wellbeing Hub

RESPECT Program

Through BHHS RESPECT Program we offered our families the opportunity to attend the Connected Parenting Workshop facilitated by the talented storyteller, TedX presenter and founder of Woodline Primary School, Lael Stone. She illustrated strategies parents and carers can use to act as the “calm harbour during our teens emotional storms”.

BHHS Marrung Team - NAIDOC

Term 3 has seen exciting advances in how we celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a team of students and staff developing our first Reconciliation Action Plan. Students met with our Koori Educator, Seth Nolan to start work on crafting BHHS version of an acknowledgement to country which will be complete by Term 4.  SRC Students are busy designing a wellness garden featuring yarning circles and indigenous plants. 15 staff attended further training on how to strengthen the way Aboriginal perspective are taught in our curriculum and we are looking to partner with Melbourne Uni as part of a research project on this.
