This week in Reading students have been learning how to Summarise.

VOCABULARY

Summarise: Give the main or important points in the text.

Facts: Important pieces of information that are real. 

Non-Fiction: A text that has true/real facts and information. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to read a non - fiction text with you . Once completed ask them to summarise the text using the below template.
