Walkathon - Friday 8 September

Superhero students and champion families, get ready!  It’s time for our 2023 Beaumaris Primary School Walkathon.

After the success of our first Walkathon last year, we are very excited to be holding this event - not only to raise funds towards the refurbishment of the School Hall, but to enjoy a morning full of laughter, exercise and school spirit for our students, teachers and families.  2022’s walk was loads of fun and raised over $24,000… but this year will be even better as we utilise our wonderful new oval, which we helped to fundraise for in last year’s Walkathon!

The Walkathon event will see students walk up to 10 laps of the school oval (Prep to Year 2 – from 9.15am) or around part of the school perimeter (Years 3 to Year 6 – from 9.30am). Students will walk with their teachers and we will be inviting parent volunteers to help out on the day.

To raise funds for Beaumaris Primary School, students are encouraged to ask their family and friends to sponsor their Walkathon effort.  Here’s how…

Walkathon – How to get sponsors

We are using online fundraising page Raisely, so it is easy to invite friends and family to sponsor your child’s participation in the Walkathon.

Go to https://2023walkathon.raisely.com, where parents/carers can Sign Up to create a profile for each student.  We encourage families to be mindful of your online privacy when signing up and suggest considering using first name and last initial, or an appropriate nickname.

Don’t forget to “Join A Team” and select your class, to make sure your donations are added to your class tally.  The class that raises the most sponsorship money will win a special lunch and a trophy!  There will also be prizes for the second and third highest fundraising classes.

Once your profile is set up, you can share the link with family and friends to invite them to sponsor your participation in the Walkathon and help Beaumaris Primary.

If you prefer to use a paper sponsorship form, they are available from the School Office.

On the Day
