Resurfacing Project

It has been an amazing transformation of our upper basketball court area this week with the re-opening of the multi-sport play space! While it took over a year to fundraise, plan and make happen, the sheer delight and excitement of the students on Monday morning was completely worth it!

In the past three years, our outdoor learning spaces at ENPS have had a huge make over. This has included the Inclusive Play Space, Nature Play Space, Gaga Pit, additional shade sail in the Year Four / Arts area and now this area! Add in the big fan in the gym, along with the new oval, and new staff and student toilets, and in just a few years we have really transformed our outdoor learning and play spaces for our community.

And this has all happened as a result of the phenomenal fundraising of our amazing ENPS families and school community! Thank you so incredibly much! We hope you are proud of what we achieve together for our students and our school.

The new multi-sport play space includes a volleyball court, basket ball third of a court and four down ball/four square/mini tennis courts. In the coming weeks we will add trees in planter boxes, additional seating and mini table tennis tables. A shout out to Maribyrnong Bunnings for their generous donation of trees to the 2023 Year Sixes, for our green team to plant next week! We can't wait to share further updates soon.

Our plans for more outdoor space development continues in 2024. As a School Council and staff, we are actively seeking grants (again as we were unsuccessful in 2023) for further resurfacing works at the Gillies Street entrance and around the Performing Arts precinct. We will also be requesting to Moonee Valley City Council to improve the safety standards of our McCulloch Street school crossing area, along with further improvement for our quadrangle space.

Our School Council Learning Environments Sub Committee is always looking for help and assistance. If this is something you could help us with (grant and/or submission writing, gardening, landscaping or planning) we would love to hear from you!
