Community Engagement Update

Your family's invitation to participate in a new ENPS event!

Countries of ENPS

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are excited to announce a new and engaging event at our school called "Countries of ENPS", and we would like to extend an invitation to you and other extended family members to participate in this inclusive event.

What: Countries of ENPS - a whole school celebration day (mixing Foundation - Year Six)

When: Thursday 28th March (last day of term)

Time: 8:45am - 1:30pm

The "Countries of ENPS" event is designed to recognise, celebrate and embrace the rich cultural diversity within our school community. We believe that learning about different cultures is an essential part of a global education, and that we are all better people by learning, understanding and valuing the diversity of our cultural backgrounds. What better way to do that by having parents and family members share their unique cultural experiences, stories, traditions, dances, music, artefacts and knowledge with our students in age-appropriate ways?

The event will involve parent helpers coming to the school to share and  teach about their respective culture. Parents will have the opportunity to engage with children of all ages, from Foundation to Year Six, through interactive hands-on activities, presentations and rich discussions. This is a wonderful and authentic learning experience for our students to broaden their horizons, develop a deeper appreciation for diversity, and learn about the world around them.

If you are interested in participating as a parent helper, please let us know by FRIDAY 1ST MARCH. We will have ongoing collaborations with our volunteers, in regards to planning scheduled session times, organisation of resources and ensuring that learning activities are appropriate for all ages and are purposeful and fun experiences.

Parent/carer volunteers will be fully supported by a classroom teacher and they will be responsible for the classroom management and assist you with the implementation of your activity, setting up resources and any other relevant information. Your involvement will make a meaningful impact on all students, fostering a sense of unity and understanding within our school community.

We believe that "Countries of ENPS" will be a memorable and educational experience for everyone involved and hope to make it an annual event. Thank you for considering being a part of this exciting event.

If you are interested, please complete this short google formOnce we have our volunteers, the Community Engagement and Intercultural Teams will work with you to plan a 40 minute session, which will be repeated over the course of the day (three times in total).

We look forward to learning about many countries and cultures which make up our wonderful ENPS community.

Many thanks,
