What a big week at TPS

It was so nice to see lots of families join us on Monday night for our Welcome BBQ. The weather was not very kind to us, with the cold breeze setting in.
A big thank you to the Tongala Lions Club for cooking the BBQ throughout the night.
Pupil Free Day
Please mark Monday, March 4th in your diary as a Pupil Free Day.
This day will be spent by staff further enhancing their knowledge and understanding around embedding Restorative Practices. The staff will be working alongside Real Schools facilitator, Sheila Bollard.
The following day, Sheila will be in classrooms working with teachers and students around Restorative Practices framework.
Young Leaders
Our Young Leaders have hit the ground running, and spent 2 hours on Wednesday planning some great events for early in the year.
Tonny's Got Talent is only a fortnight away, and our students will be very keen to get practising in readiness for this.
Other activities already planned for include Clean Up Australia Day, an F-2 Colouring Competition and International Day of Happiness.
We really value our student leadership program, and look forward to these great student-led events.
Interviews
Getting to Know You Interviews will be held on Monday, 26th February and Tuesday, 27th February. This is a great opportunity to meet your child's classroom teacher, share information and talk about the year ahead.
Booking times will be available via Compass very shortly.
Office Protocols
If collecting your child early from school, please phone ahead to alert the office. When you arrive to school, make sure you sign out your child and wait in the office area until they are collected from their classroom.
We are trying to limit distractions to the classroom during learning time.
If your child is arriving late, please sign them in through the office as well.
