There has been much to celebrate and be thankful for this term. We have begun our cultural explorations by immersing ourselves in both Italian and Chinese culture, making overflowing pasta pots after being inspired by the story, 'Strega Nona' as well as decorating and making Chinese lanterns to hang in our classrooms (the traditional lighting tool of China which also represents merit and joy).
Thank you to our incredible students who have completed the home learning task. We have loved learning about the cultures of our community, from our passionate and proud students. It has been really interesting to hear about the foods, music, games and traditions from around the world and a terrific opportunity for your children to practice their speaking and listening skills, as well as questioning techniques to gather more information or clarify their understanding on a topic.
Thank you to the families that have shared a favourite recipe. We have created a delicious display in the Gallery and invite you to visit during the Term 4 Expo on Friday 8th December, 3-4pm.
It's not too late, if you have a recipe you would like to contribute then please send a copy with your child or email it to your child's teacher to be added to our Gallery display.
