A note from Mrs Whitechurch

Inclusion ensures that all children participate meaningfully while learning and interacting in programs that acknowledge each child's strengths and interests, regardless of race, gender or socioeconomic status. This is something we value and applaud at Rosanna PS.

Children are never too young to learn about diversity. They develop attitudes about race from an early age. It is important to have meaningful conversations about racism to help develop respect, healthy relationships and empathy.

The Raising children website has great resources to support families to have conversations about race, racism and being anti-racist. Please see the link below for more information.

Remembrance Day

This Saturday we are pausing to remember our service men and women and the sacrifices they made to defend our country and keep us safe.

Rosanna Primary School will be represented by our School Leaders who will lay a wreath at the Wtsonia RSL, to honour those many people who lost their lives.

Remembrance Day marks the date in 1918 when the First World War came to an end. It is officially observed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month each year.

Remembrance Day will be marked by a pause at 11 am on Saturday 11 November 2023 for a minute’s silence, to remember people's service and sacrifice.

Victoria’s Shrine of Remembrance will hold a commemorative service on Remembrance Day. The service will be live streamed on the Shrine’s Facebook and YouTube  channels from 10:30 am. Refer to the Shrine of Remembrance website for more information.
