AGRACOM DONATION

A big thank you to AGRACOM who donated and presented Werris Creek Public School with a cheque for $2000.  We thank you for supporting our school.

INTENTION TO APPLY FOR YEAR 7 PLACEMENT IN A SELECTIVE SCHOOL IN 2025

Selective high schools cater for high-potential and academically gifted students who may otherwise be without sufficient classmates at their own academic standard. Selective high schools help these students learn by grouping them with students of similar ability, and by using specialised teaching methods.

If you would like to have your child considered for Year 7 selective high school entry in 2025, you need to apply on the internet using a valid email address (not the student’s email address).

An “Information for Applicants” in Year 5 2023 will be sent home with your child today. This contains detailed instructions on how to apply.

Applications opened on 9 October 2023 and close on 20 November 2023. You must apply by the closing date.

You must submit only ONE application for each student.

The Selective High School Placement Test will be held on Thursday 9 May 2024.

TELL FROM ME SURVEY

Each family received a paper version of the Tell Them From Me Survey last week.  This survey is undertaken each year and it helps us drive teaching, learning, and behaviour at the school. Please take the time (around 2 minutes) to fill in the survey and return to the office by Friday 30th November.

Wednesday Canteen

 The Canteen will also be opened for the purchase of chips, drinks, icy monys and popcorn.  Year 6 will be selling Halloween Jelly Cups for 50c each at 3rd break.
