Kids Corner

The “Kids’ Corner” section of our school newsletter provides the opportunity for the children to showcase their talents or communicate something special.

This fortnight, Minadie - Year 3, has written a piece about her family trip to Adelaide and Class 2B, a recount about the recent storm. I trust you enjoy them just as much as I have!

Our Trip to Adelaide – Minadie

On the 23rd December, my brother, grandma, mum, dad and I went on a trip to Adelaide. We stayed for 5 days at a wonderful apartment.

Before we got to the apartment, we sang songs, played games and talked about our excitement in the car.

When we arrived at the apartment, we went to our room, but my mum did not like it so she called the hotel manager to move us to a better room with a view of the skyline and the city. It was a two bedroom apartment.

The next day, we went to a beautiful botanical garden. We saw so many fascinating plants. Once we finished walking my dad brought ice-cream and it was delicious! My mum and dad decided to go to the pool and then we went into the steam room and sauna room.

On the last day, my mum booked for one more day, but we had to move to a different room. The next day we left Adelaide and went to a blue lake. I ran to see it and then I say some information on the board. It said that there is a volcano under the blue lake that’s why the lake is blue.

Then we went happily home.
