This week in Reading, the  students will be building on their understanding of comprehension strategies. They will explore finding answers using Author and Me questions. 

VOCABULARY

Author and Me Questions: Questions that involve the reader’s interpretation combined with information from the text.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

This week when you are sharing nightly reading with your child, ask them the following questions: 

• What did the author do to make you feel … ?
• If you could interview the author, what would you ask them?
• If you could add to one part of the book what would it be and why?
