NAPLAN 2024
The NAPLAN assessment period for Year 3 and 5 students will be held from Wednesday 13 March to Monday 25 March. Please see the testing schedule for our school;
Wednesday 13th March - Writing
Year 3 from 9:00 am (duration 40 minutes)
Year 5 from 11:30 am (duration 42 minutes)
Friday 15th March - Reading
Year 3 from 9:00 am (duration 45 minutes)
Year 5 from 11:30 am (duration 50 minutes)
Tuesday 19th March - Conventions of Language (Grammar, Spelling & Punctuation)
Year 3 from 9:00 am (duration 45 minutes)
Year 5 from 11:30 am (duration 45 minutes)
Friday 21st March - Numeracy
Year 3 from 9:00 am (duration 45 minutes)
Year 5 from 11:30 am (duration 50 minutes)
All assessments (except for the Year 3 Writing Task) are completed online, and additional supports for students who meet the criteria set out by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority can be arranged. Adjustments may include additional time, support person, reading of questions (where applicable), support of scribe or assistive technology (speech to text) and rest breaks. Classroom teachers are aware of students who will need these additional supports, as these are planned by the teacher as part of the classroom learning program or a student's personalised learning plan.
Parents and guardians may decide for their child to be withdrawn or exempt from some or all assessments. Please send any requests for NAPLAN exemptions in writing to Declan or myself, so we can arrange the necessary paperwork to support your decision.
