Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) 2024
CSEF is provided by the Victorian Government to assist eligible families to cover the costs of school excursions, camps and sporting activities.
If you hold a valid means-tested concession card or are a temporary foster parent, you may be eligible for CSEF. A special consideration category also exists for asylum seeker and refugee families.
The allowance is paid to the school to use towards expenses relating to camps, excursions or sporting activities for the benefit of your child.
Parents or legal guardians are required complete a CSEF application form and lodge it with the Office for processing.
Application forms should be completed and lodged with schools by Monday 26th February 2024, as payments are made from March. However schools will be able to accept and process applications up until the end of Term 2 each year.
Please contact the Office to obtain a CSEF application form.
Please ensure a copy of your means-tested concession card is provided with yourCSEF application form. If you were eligible and received CSEF in 2023, your application will rollover to 2024 and a new application form is not required to be completed.
Reporting Student Absences
If your child is absent from school please notify the school office before 10:00am on the day of the absence using one of the following methods;
Online: via the Compass App.
(Please contact the office if you are having difficulty accessing the app)
Or
Telephone: please call 5229 9643 (select options 1) and please leave a message including your child’s name, date and reason for absence.
Notifying the school of your child’s absence either prior to or on the day that they will be away helps to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your child.
Our school will call you as soon as practicable on the day of the absence if your child is not at school and you have not notified the school office.
Manifold Heights Primary School recognises that there is a clear correlation between attendance at school and academic achievement - the research indicates that lower attendance leads to poorer learning and wellbeing outcomes. We take attendance very seriously at Mano and have a goal to have as close to 95% of student attendance as possible.
For more information regarding attendance please follow the link to the Department of Education's Attendance Policy.
Late Arrivals
If your child arrives late to school they must be signed in by a parent/guardian and collect a 'Pass In' card at the Office as proof of attendance/entry.
Be SunSmart - No Hat = No Play
All students are required to wear their Mano SunSmart hat from mid August through to the end of April during all outside activities. This is part of the ‘Student Dress Code’ and ‘Sun Smart’ policies of our school. Students will be required to play in a designated shaded area if they don’t have their SunSmart hat. We are committed to maximising the skin health of your child – we thank you for your support with this.
Update Personal Details
Please update the Office if you have had a change to personal details. eg. address, phone number, emergency contact person. It is very important to have all your details up to date in case of an emergency with your child.
