What is ConnectEd?
MRPS truly values the three way partnership between student, school and home. This gives every student the best opportunity to flourish in their learning.
MRPS has run the hugely successful ConnectEd program over the last few years. As parents and carers, the program is a hands-on interactive opportunity to experience 'life in the classroom' for learners. It also gives parents and carers an understanding of how to support their child at home. The program provides an understanding of the common language used and the basis for learning activities with regard to English and Maths.
The other reason that ConnectEd has become such an important program is that it also prepares members of our school community who may like to volunteer their time in a classroom. Volunteers are under the direction of the classroom teacher but ConnectEd enables familiarity with learning processes that happen in the classroom.
This is our 3rd week of the 5 week program for 2024. If you would like to attend for the last 2 weeks of the program(13th and 20th March), kindly inform the office whether you will be attending the 9 - 10am or the 6 - 7pm session, as soon as possible.
Sessions are held in D5 and conducted by our Foundation team teachers.
