Acknowledgment of Country

As part of our Wellbeing Program, each class created their own Acknowledgement to Country. As you can see, our Year 2 students were very proud of their very meaningful creation.

Creative Ways of Learning in the 1/2 Area

We have started the year with fabulous energy and enthusiasm in the 1/2 area! We are enjoying tuning into our creativity and learning in different ways.

We have been utilising 'hands-on' materials to help us to learn our mathematical concepts. We practised counting by using blocks and have been sharing our knowledge of place value with MAB blocks. Here are some photos of us in action in our classrooms using these materials.

We have also been using graphic organisers to record our story ideas to help us to write interesting and creative narratives.

We are thoroughly enjoying our Reading Groups and Partner Reading activities as reading together makes it even more fun.

As you can see, creativity and group work are a big part of how we learn in the 1/2 area :).
