Upcoming CFA Visit

This coming Monday, the Bolinda-Monegeetta CFA will be visiting the school to speak about fire safety as well as giving students a tour of the truck. We're excited to be able to host the CFA and know the students will just love the visit.

Communication

At Bolinda Primary School we communicate to our families in a number of ways. Our main source of communication is provided through Compass. From time to time, you will get notifications and alerts from us via Compass. This is also where you will need to provide consent for any upcoming events.

Our newsletter is housed on iNewsletter and you are able to find all the archived issues in the link below or on our school website.

We have two Facebook pages, public and private versions. The public page serves to promote the school to the wider community to showcase all the wonderful things that happen at Bolinda Primary School. We've just changed the official public Facebook page to allow us more freedom in keeping it up-to-date. If you liked the old page, please jump on and like the new The private page is for families only and we use this for families to connect as well as for questions to be asked.

Interschool Sports

On Monday, February 26th, our Year 3 - 6 T-Ball teams travelled to Romsey to compete in the interschool sports event against schools in the Macedon Ranges. While the final results may not have been in our favour, the spirit and remarkable teamwork displayed by our students left a mark on everyone there.

As the saying goes, it's not always about the outcome, but rather about how we conduct ourselves and the values we uphold. I am immensely proud of our students for showcasing exemplary teamwork and resilience throughout the competition. While the wins on the scoreboard were rewarding, the true highlight of the day was hearing the students talk about teamwork. Thank you to the families who came to provide support on the day. The students are still talking about their "mascots".

STEM in Weather

The 2/3/4 grade had some fun over the last two weeks in STEM. They've been investigating the weather and have been making devices to measure the weather. Firstly, they created their own barometers that measure the pressure in the atmosphere and then they got to work and made their own rain gauges. They are very excited about their creations and have been busy checking in on the results.

Family BBQ

The school was certainly filled with enthusiasm last Wednesday during our Family BBQ. We wanted to take a moment to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who attended and contributed to making the event a success!

It was an absolute delight to see so many familiar faces, as well as some new ones, gracing our school grounds with smiles, and positive energy. The atmosphere was contagious, and it was great to witness the strong sense of community that thrives within our school. Despite the warm and windy weather, which didn't deter our spirits in the slightest, we all came together to enjoy good food and great company.

We are filled with excitement and anticipation for the upcoming events and activities that we have planned for the rest of the year. We are eager to continue filling our school.

Veggie Garden

Earlier this week, we reached out to our school community seeking donations of manure and hay for our vegetable garden. We are grateful to the families who generously contributed, as their donations have already been utilised effectively in the garden.

Long Service Leave

I will be taking Long Service Leave from March 12 to March 28. Anna Rapetti will be acting principal in my absence so if there is anything you wish to discuss, please contact her.

There will be some VERY exciting things happening in my absence with the Discovery Centre Incursion and NRL clinics being held. I also cannot wait to hear about the last day of school for Term 1. Last year, we had a very special fluffy visitor, just before Easter. I wonder if we will have the same visitor return this year?
