Level 1

Hello Level 1 families and welcome back to Term 3! The students have had a cold, but fun week settling back into school.

Last term, the students loved designing, collaborating and constructing a community. This was to celebrate our learning for our students in our Inquiry topic – ‘The Power in Us’, where we explored and learned about fairness. Students went to visit the other grades and were able to see and celebrate their learning.

This week we have been busy introducing and learning about our new topics for this term including time, procedures and our geography Inquiry topic – ‘HEPS and Beyond’.

In Writing, students loved making their ‘Heat Maps’ that shared all of their interests and hobbies in their Writer’s Notebook. These books helped spark inspiration on ideas for our students to write about.

In Maths, we have been busy diving into time and learning how to tell the time. Students have enjoyed drawing their own clocks and sharing what they know and would like to learn about time.

Looking ahead Reminders:

Please keep an eye out for a questionnaire coming home with your student this week that students have created to gather connections and ideas for our Inquiry topic.
