Policy Review
The School Improvement Team, in consultation with School Council and the wider school community, constantly review and update practices, procedures and policies in place at Ormond Primary School. All of our policies are available on our school website.
This semester, we will be working on a range of policies and will keep you updated on progress through our fortnightly newsletter. We have recently finalised our Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy, which can be accessed here. Our new policy has been updated to reflect the current Department of Education guidelines - families will now be asked to provide consent for their child's image to be taken and used once only. In order to ensure our records are up to date, we will be sending out a request to all families via Compass seeking your consent to:
- Use images of your child within the physical environment of the school: this involves displaying your child's photograph within the classroom and around the school, including shared spaces.
- Use images of your child within the school environment, including online communication, teaching and learning tools, etc. that can be accessed by students, parents/carers and staff with passwords and/or in the school magazine and yearbook.
- Use images of your child beyond the school community: this includes the school's website, include the newsletter that is publicly available, and on social media.
For more information, please access the policy on the website.
Until you have completed the consent form on Compass, it will be assumed that you do not give consent for any of the conditions.
