BPS Olympics Day

Dear BPS Families,

Only a few more sleeps until our BPS Olympics Day, so get out your sneakers and your cultural colours!

This Friday 9th of August, we will be celebrating the 2024 Olympic Games by hosting a whole school Olympics Day, starting with an official ceremony to open our amazing new BPS running track. The BPS torch will arrive at BPS from 9.10am and we welcome our families to attend and enjoy the Olympics fun (with some surprises too!)

Students are invited to dress in the colours or national dress of their family’s country of origin.

If you already have a national costume in your wardrobe, please feel free to wear this! Otherwise, you can wear coloured clothing you already you have at home, hair ribbons, sweat bands, or a cultural or sports tee. Students may also choose to dress as an Olympic sportsperson.

Throughout the day all students from Foundation to Year 6 will be completing a range of Olympic-themed activities. The day will conclude with a flag waving ceremony as we celebrate the 25 plus nations represented within our school community. We welcome our families to our closing ceremony starting at 2.40pm in the gym.
