Junior Dance
It has been an absolute pleasure having Kristy come in and teach Hip Hop Dance to our Junior students over the last few weeks. A favourite move of the students was definitely the "Bart Simpson"! Kristy really broke the moves down well to the students and they had lots of fun participating in our Sport lessons. After only 3 weeks of rehearsal, the students were brave enough to perform their routines at assembly. Congratulations Foundation and Grade ½ students on your incredible effort learning a Hip Hop Dance routine. You impressed us with both your moves, style and energy!
Touch Rugby
Over several weeks in Term 2 and Term 3, the senior students of our school have been working on their Touch Rugby skills. We have had the absolute honour of working with a Melbourne Storm coach, Jason, who has dedicated his time to come down and train our students. The transformation that the students made over several weeks in understanding the basic skills, rules and competition of the sport was phenomenal. By the end of our last session, students were able to compete in Year Level Touch Rugby games, and they had lots of fun applying the skills they had developed over their time with Jason. Many of the students enjoyed scoring tries in the matches and doing their best to dodge their opponents. It has been an absolute pleasure seeing so many students try a new sport and have lots of fun doing it! Congratulations to all the students from Grade 3-6 who put in their best effort!
AFL 9s Competition
We are thrilled to share the fantastic results from the recent AFL 9s competition, where our students showcased outstanding sportsmanship and skill.
Our Girls team put in a wonderful effort, demonstrating determination and teamwork throughout the day. Their hard work paid off as they secured a well-deserved win in one of their matches. Congratulations to all the players for their incredible performance and positive attitude!
The Boys team had an eventful day with 2 wins and 2 losses in the pool rounds. Despite the mixed results, their persistence and talent shone through as they qualified for the Grand Final. In a thrilling match, our Boys team triumphed with a remarkable 20-point victory, securing their place as champions.
The Boys team will now progress to the AFL 9s Gippsland Regional Finals in Term 4. We wish them the best of luck and are confident they will continue to make us proud.
A huge thank you to all our players, coaches, and supporters for their dedication and enthusiasm. Your hard work and commitment are truly appreciated.

Sovereign Hill Camp is a learning experience for children and adults. It teaches us about what has happened in the past with the Gold Rush in Ballarat and the Eureka Stockade. For camp, the grade 5-6's were learning about the gold rush. Only a few people managed to strike it rich, especially the man who found the Welcome Nugget. The grade 5-6’s went gold panning to try and strike it rich, but unfortunately no one managed to become rich.
We spent two days at the costume school. What did we have to wear you ask?….. Great question! The girls had to wear pantalets, a dress, an apron and a coat. We also had to have full black shoes and 2 tied back plaits. The boys had to wear knickerbockers, a suit jacket, a tie, a cap and a shirt. At costume school we learnt about Queen Victoria, what would happen if you were naughty at school and we learned how to write with ink.
It was fun at Sovereign Hill, it was interesting and a great way to learn about the old days.

The year 5-6's from Trafalgar Primary School went to Sovereign Hill for camp. We did a lot of activities at Sovereign Hill camp. We went to the shops in small groups and we went to school. For costume school the girls had to wear dresses with pantalets under them and an apron on the top. The boys had to wear knickerbockers as pants and a long sleeve button up shirt with a jacket over it. They also had to wear a neckerchief around their neck and an old fashioned cap on their head.
The school was scary because the teacher was strict. At the school we learned about Queen Victoria, we also learned a bit about writing with ink and an ink pen, we also learned some maths and we had a discipline lesson. My favourite part at the school was writing with ink.
We also were able to go gold panning, shopping at the old fashion shops and we saw the blacksmith working. I also did candle dipping and made a candle that was blue, green and dark green.
It was lots of fun dressing up at Sovereign Hill and I had a great time.
Please see below a selection of some photos taken at Sovereign Hill. There were so many to choose from it was hard to select just a few. Huge thanks to our staff who took the pictures. What a fantastic camp for our students!
In the Art Room- Grade 3/4 Art
Our Grade 3/4 students have been finishing off their projects in which they have designed their very own ‘Plushie’ soft toy for our Textiles Unit in Art. They have been practising sewing using the running stitch and they have put lots of time, effort and creativity into their work. After many weeks of learning to thread needles, tie knots and sew, the students have been very proud with their finished products.
Miss Hardy 😊
Donations for the art room.
The art room is seeking donations of any coloured wool, ribbon or colourful string for threading and textiles projects later in the term.
We are also collecting paper shopping bags which we use for sending art works home in. If you have any of these items, we would be very grateful. Please feel free to drop them off to the office at any time.
Thanks 😊

Congratulation to Kelas LA8 & LA10! Great work!
We have an astounding amount of unnamed uniform and student items in lost property.
Daryl does a sweep of the yard daily after school and collects all lost property, more often than not, these are not named so do not make it back to their owners.
Please take care to name all uniform items and anything that your child brings to school.
Thank you for your cooperation.
