St Brigid's News and Events

RE News

Thursday 8th August is the Feast of Mary of the Cross - Mary Mackillop.  St Mary of the Cross is Australia's first Saint. We are celebrating this special feast day on Thursday 8th at 9.00am with a prayer liturgy in the Hall which will be led by our Year 4's. All are warmly invited to attend.

On Thursday 15 August the Catholic Church celebrates the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On this Feast, Catholics traditionally celebrate Mary going to heaven. The tradition is that 'God took Mary, body and soul, to heaven after her life on earth had come to an end'. We will celebrate this special feast with Mass at 11.30am in St Brigid's Hall. All welcome to attend.
