Walkathon - Sunday 11 August

This is your moment to be part of the great story of the Walkathon…

 

… the P&F’s biggest single event of the year. Community, Family, Fundraising, Wellbeing - partnering with our neighbours, the Australian Defence Force and Gallipoli Barracks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Barracks based volunteers needed by this Friday 10 July…

 

 …. Seated Course Guides (open to anyone), Defence parent volunteers, and QPS parent volunteers

 

We are grateful to everyone who has been into the Signup already - numbers are increasing week to week. Calls for volunteers located within the grounds of Marist will stay open until Friday 9 August. If you are new to Walkathon volunteering, there are plenty of opportunities to serve alongside others. The Walkathon Sub-Committee will also be there on the day for any assistance you may require.

 

For those jobs that are located within the Barracks, we need to have names finalised by this Friday 19 July:

 

1. Seated course guides - through SignUp: Open to any parent, guardian, or family member. Situated at numerous stations along the course, within the Barracks, to give directions as required to Walkathon participants. There are two people located at each station. If you have done this before it would be great to have you along for 2024. You can even request your favourite station! If you would like to volunteer alongside someone who has done it before, just highlight this in the notes when you Sign Up. 

 

2. Defence and QPS Parent Volunteers - contact Jon Pollard directly: Must have current DCAC/ID Card. For specific roles within the Barracks on the day of the Walkathon.

RSA Certification

Your P&F are looking for parents with RSA certification to join our existing volunteer pool. If you have a current RSA and are happy to volunteer to spend a small number of Friday nights meeting fellow parents and helping at the parent functions, the Amity Team would love to hear from you.

Sports Canteen Volunteering - Term 3

Thank you to Anna Cox, Emma Ferguson, Matthew Stigter, and Rachel Stigter for getting Sports Canteens off the ground for Term 3 at the Gym.

 

Flats, Grandstand and Gym Canteens will be open in various combinations across Term 3, dependant on home game fixtures. The Signup links for the full term are below. There will be more details on where volunteers are requested in year group social media pages and the MCA App as fixtures are released each week.
