Faith and Mission
This week, we have been fortunate to have Sr Jwan Kada ibvm join us for Founders Week.
Sr Jwan Kada is a Loreto sister, a Chaldean Catholic, and a former refugee from Baghdad, Iraq. She is a passionate educational leader with a deep desire to advocate for social justice, especially for those communities whose voices are unheard. She recently spent two months in Kolkata, India, working on projects to educate and empower children and women caught in trafficking and poverty.
Sr Jwan's powerful stories have given our staff and students a tangible understanding of how the funds raised on John XXIII Day directly support programs run by Mary Ward International and Jesuit Mission. We encourage our families to give generously, knowing that their contributions make a significant difference in the lives of those who need it most. By supporting Jesuit Mission and Mary Ward International, we continue our tradition of compassion, justice, and faith in action, living out the values that define our College community.
Below are links to clips that both Jesuit Misson and Mary Ward International have shared with us about their work (funds raised will be used for similar but not restricted to the projects featured). Further tax-deductible donations can be made at:

Community Mass
Ward House will prepare Community Eucharist, which will be on Friday, 9 August. All families are welcome, and Ward especially so. There is always coffee and a buzz of conversation in the Circle of Friends Café straight after Mass, and all are invited.
Community Mass is held weekly in the Chapel on Friday mornings, commencing at 8:00am and concluding at 8:30am. There are a few variations in Term 3, so the schedule is shown below.
