Learning Conferences 2024:
I was unable to be here for Learning Conferences but I did get a full run down on how they went, and I read every teacher's follow-up post written after their conferences with each families.
Thank you sincerely to all those parents who made a big effort to participate in our Learning Conferences. This incredibly important job of helping each child grow to be the best prepared, happiest and healthiest young person they can be is a partnership - together we achieve so much more!
On the point of reading those Conference posts on HERO, a big chunk of my job each day (and night), is reading HERO posts. I receive an email giving the details of every injury or accident our children have each day. I receive an email for every time there has been a learning post detailing learning support, interventions or updates. I also receive an email for every behaviour post made on HERO. Reading these ensures I have a fairly comprehensive understanding of everything that is happening - obviously, I cannot be everywhere at once - but these posts make it almost that way.
I share this information just so that you know that I and all our senior management are doing our best to remain fully informed at all times. This way, we can identify big-picture needs, common themes, patterns of behaviour, or injury and accident, and then discuss the best ways to address these.
