2025 Foundation Enrolment
This is another urgent reminder for any current families who have a sibling wishing to commence school next year. Numbers are building rapidly for Foundation 2025 and we have stated to send out formal offers.
We have provided many school tours for prospective parents already this year for Foundation 2025. The level of enthusiasm and interest is enormously encouraging.
This note is simply a check in to see that we have accurate numbers of siblings that are intending to commence Foundation next year at St. Cecilia's. Several families have indicated that a sibling will be commencing but have not yet submitted an enrolment form. Please download and submit the 2025 Foundation Enrolment form directly from our school website.
If you have a child starting school in 2025 please ensure you have submitted your application form asap!
Mother's Day Breakfast
This Sunday, we celebrate Mother's Day. As we do each year at St. Cecilia's, today we held our Annual Mother's Day Breakfast to honor mothers, grandmothers, and special individuals in our school community.
The breakfast was a truly special occasion for those who could attend, offering a beautiful atmosphere where families could come together to celebrate the important women in their lives. This was, and always has been, one of our favourite and most highly attended events of the year.
I also want to express our thanks to our wonderful school choir led by Mrs. Stefania Miller. Their captivating performance added an extra layer of warmth to the morning, enriching the experience for all who attended. We are very proud of our choir.
Additionally, a big thank you to the dedicated dad helpers who supported Chris Knott in organizing and hosting the event. Your hard work and assistance were instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of the breakfast, and we are grateful for your invaluable contributions to making such mornings a success.
I want to thank all the mothers and grandmothers for their dedication to their children's education. As mothers and grandmothers, you have a significant influence on our young people. Thank you for all that you do. Your impact on our children's lives is significant, and we're grateful to have you as part of our school family. Have a beautiful day on Sunday!

Vision for Instruction
St. Cecilia's continues to strive for excellence in teaching and learning, through an integrated, academically competitive and distinctively Catholic educational way. We are constantly seeking and unpacking evidence of how students learn most effectively and efficiently. With this in mind, you will hear us talk regularly about Vision for Instruction, which was launched in February 2024 by Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools. This vision will provide and guide explicit instruction regarding the best way of teaching children.
"Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) aims to become the benchmark for excellence in teaching and learning. It is firmly grounded in the evidence of how students learn most effectively and efficiently, offering explicit guidance for MACS schools on instructional best practice. The Vision for Instruction provides a shared vision for teachers, students, school leaders and school communities."
We are looking forward to sharing more information about why, what and how we will be implementing and navigating this exciting journey to better meet the evolving needs of our St. Cecilia's students.
