Welcome back to Term 2. 

Over the next few weeks our children will be exploring ‘Writing to Socialise’. This genre helps writers to maintain or enhance relationships. 

Children will be exposed to a range of texts such as thank you notes, invitations, notes and messages.

Our 3-6 children will use this genre study to connect with our project where they will reach out to our local council using appropriate tone. 

You may wish to practise this skill at home like taking phone messages or orders for the dinner menu.

Our library is now revamped and ready for children to begin borrowing. It is so important for us at St Gabriel’s to provide a warm and inviting library space for our children to learn and carry a love for books throughout their whole lives. We will notify you when it is your child/ren day to borrow.
