Celebrating Student Learning

Colour Run 2024

Well done to everyone who participated in the school Colour Run, what an awesome way to end the week. A big thank you to Ms Thatcher (Mrs Kelly) for organising the event and to ALL our wonderful staff. As you can tell by the pictures below, the students (& staff) had a BLAST!!!

ANZAC Day 2024

A special ANZAC Day Assembly was held at DPWPS on Wednesday 24th April.

Our students listened attentively to the background information about the significance of ANZAC Day, stood quietly during the ‘Last Post’ and took part in a minute of silence.

Other symbols of respect that were incorporated into this assembly included the flag being lowered to half-mast on the flagpole and the laying of a wreath of flowers on behalf of our school community.

I would like to acknowledge the students that participated in various aspects of the assembly: the School Captains: Gurugunn 6C, Anna 6C and Alex 6B as well as a number of other students from various year levels that brought flowers from home to place at the base of the flagpole.

Thank-you for taking part in this important commemorative assembly.

ANZAC Day badges:  The sale of ANZAC Day badges & bracelets raised $82.00. Thank-you to Miss Myall for overseeing the sale of these items at the School Office, and to everyone who purchased a badge. The money we raised will be sent directly to the Sunshine R.S.L, who always appreciate our support.
