Sports Report - Winter Round 1

This past week, the winter sports teams at Lalor East PS faced off against Meadow Glen in a series of compelling matches at our home grounds. Here’s a quick rundown of the outcomes:

Soccer:

- The soccer team faced a tough match, unfortunately concluding with a 0-5 loss against a strong Meadow Glen side.

Netball:

- A Team: Displayed excellent teamwork and strategy, securing a win with a final score of 14-9.

- B Team: Won by forfeit, adding another victory to our school's tally this season.

Volleyball:

- Boys’ Team: Dominated the court, winning 2 sets to 0.

- Girls’ Team: Fought hard in a close match, triumphing 2 sets to 1.

Next week, our teams will travel to Thomastown Meadows for the upcoming matches. We are looking forward to continuing our strong performances and bringing more victories home!

Lalor East PS Weekly Sports Report - May 3, 2024

This week, our Lalor East teams faced off in a series of challenging matches at Thomastown Meadows, competing in soccer, volleyball, and netball. Despite the tough competition, our athletes showed great spirit and determination.

Soccer:

- The soccer team faced a tough game, ending with a 9-0 loss. The team is looking to regroup and focus on their skills for the next match.

Volleyball:

- Our boys' volleyball team battled hard but narrowly lost 2 sets to 1.

- The girls' volleyball team also faced a strong opposition, losing 2 sets to 0. Both teams are eager to learn from this experience and come back stronger.

Netball:

- The mixed netball team faced a challenging opponent, with a final score of 3-6.

- Our girls' netball team delivered an outstanding performance, dominating their game with a 16-1 victory. This win highlights the skills and teamwork of our girls' team, a proud moment for Lalor East PS.
