SCHOOL LEADERSHIP MESSAGE

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Families,

As we move towards the end of Term 2, I would like to acknowledge the resilience and adaptability of our school community in the face of some significant challenges.

Like many schools across the state, we’ve recently experienced a higher-than-usual number of staff absences for a variety of reasons. While we do our best to secure replacement teachers, there are times when merging classes becomes necessary. These decisions are never taken lightly, and we appreciate your understanding and support during these periods.

Despite these challenges, our focus remains firmly on ensuring that learning continues in a calm and productive way. I’m incredibly proud of how our staff and students have responded - teachers are working together to support each other, and students have shown great patience, flexibility, and maturity in adapting to changes when needed.

If your child is absent for any reason, it is a requirement that parents/carers notify the school and explain the absence. It would also really help our planning when we are trying to cover staff absences, to know how many students are not attending school on a given day. Please give the school a call, or use Compass to explain a student absence every time your child is away from school. If you need help logging in to Compass or to notify an absence, please give us a call so our friendly and supportive team can help you.

Thank you to our families for your continued support and trust as we work together to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment for all.
