A message from Mr Renshaw / Mrs Saad

Kindergarten 2026 Transition
It has been wonderful meeting all of our Kindergarten 2026 students and families during our Transition sessions. A reminder that our final Transition session will be held on Thursday 13 November 2025. If you haven’t already done so, please ensure your child’s enrolment is completed so they are able to attend this final session.
We look forward to welcoming our newest learners again next week!
2026 Student Enrolment Forms
Earlier this term, all students received a green note asking parents to confirm their intention to return to Hurstville Public School in 2026. Please ensure these forms are returned as soon as possible so that planning and preparation for next year’s class structures can continue smoothly.
Year 2 Swim School
A friendly reminder that during Weeks 5 and 6, Year 2 will be going to swimming lessons beginning on Monday 10 November. Students will be accompanied by their class teacher to Col Jones Swimming Pool, where they’ll take part in fun, practical water safety lessons led by experienced swim-school instructors.
Please see your child's class teacher for any questions.
Extracurricular Photos
A reminder that extracurricular group photos are available to be ordered from Don Wood Photography. Please see the information below. Orders close on 23 November 2025.
Hurstville Public School Turns 150 in 2026!
Next year marks an incredible milestone — 150 years of Hurstville Public School. Since opening its doors in 1876, our school has grown and evolved alongside the Hurstville community, shaping generations of learners and families.
To honour this moment in our history, our staff, students, and parent community have begun planning a series of celebrations, legacy projects, and community events that will recognise the people, stories, and spirit that have made Hurstville PS what it is today.
Our first planning sessions have already generated some exciting ideas — from a community festival, parade of decades, community engagement intiatives, and alumni event, to student legacy projects and a whole-school spectacular. Over the coming months, we’ll continue developing these ideas through sub-committees involving staff parents, community and students.
We’d love for our wider community to be part of this journey. If you have a broader connections to Hurstville Public School through past students, staff members, or parents, or if you would like to help celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime milestone, we’d love to hear from you.
