School Leadership Team 2026
The process for electing our 2026 School Leadership Team will take place this term. The Leadership Team will consist of two Captains (one boy and one girl), two Vice Captains (one boy and one girl) and eight Ambassadors (four boys and four girls).
All students in Year 5 are eligible to nominate themselves and/or a peer for a position on the School Leadership Team. Each student may nominate up to two students (one boy and one girl). Nomination sessions will be held in class. In making nominations for these positions, students must consider the demonstrated behaviour, attitude and ability of the nominees to carry out this role.
The 24 students (12 boys and 12 girls) receiving the most nominations will be approached to accept their nomination and given a Nomination Acceptance form. In doing so, students should carefully read and discuss the nomination agreement with parents and/or carers. Completed Nomination Acceptance forms, signed by both the nominee and parents, must be returned to Ms Daniels by Friday 21st November. Notes returned after this date will not be accepted.
On Wednesday 3rd December, candidates will be invited to present a speech to the Year 4 and Year 5 students in the main hall. The speech should be prepared at home, be no longer than 90 seconds and should outline the qualities that would make the student a good leader. No signs or props are to used.
This will be immediately followed by the election, where all students from Years 4 and 5 will vote for their preferred candidates. The 12 nominees (six boys and six girls) receiving the highest level of student support will move forward to the Principal and Executive for consideration.
The candidates will be advised of the outcome by Mr Steed prior to Presentation Day. Specific positions will be announced and badges presented at our Year 5 Presentation Day on Tuesday 16th December 2025.
