A Heartwarming Pizza Party at Collingwood Campus

As the term draws to a close, our International Students at the Collingwood campus came together for a joyful pizza party—a celebration of their incredible efforts and contributions throughout the term. The room was filled with laughter, music, and heartfelt moments as students shared food, stories, and memories.

We were especially delighted to have our Campus Principal, Chris, join in the fun—especially during the lively chair dance game, thoughtfully organised by our wonderful ISP Captains: Ray Z., Nicole L., and Nandin E. Their energy and spirit brought everyone together for a lunch party full of joy.

This gathering was also a time of farewell for some of our international students who will be leaving at the end of term. One particularly touching moment came when a group of Year 10 friends surprised Greta F. with a handmade collective card filled with beautiful farewell messages and warm wishes. Greta, visibly moved, shared her deep gratitude for the support and kindness she received from both teachers and fellow students during her time at Collingwood.

“My short stay here has been filled with amazing experiences and unforgettable memories,” she said. “Thank you to everyone who made me feel so welcome.”

Greta, you’ll be dearly missed—but your Collingwood family will always be cheering you on wherever you go!

Celebrating Our Fundraising Successes for 2025 China Leadership Program

– Thank You for Your Incredible Support!

As we look back on our fundraising journey in Semester 1, we are incredibly proud of the collective achievements of our school community in supporting the 2025 China Leadership Program. These efforts would not have been possible without the hard work of our students and the generous support of our families.

In February and April, our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle brought together a vibrant team of student and family volunteers. Their enthusiasm, energy, and teamwork created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that not only raised important funds but also showcased the unique spirit that defines our school community. We are deeply grateful to every family who contributed time, effort, and ingredients to make this day a success.

During both terms, we organized a lunch time club every second week in either Collingwood College campus or Wurun campus to update news and practise singing a Chinese folk song Jasmine Flower with the students, preparing our performance in China this September. We also threw a Chinese food party in term 1 as a celebration of our achievement for fundraising.

Throughout Semester 1, our students also demonstrated incredible commitment and creativity by running the Thursday Market Ice Cream Stall. Week after week, they took initiative, showed resilience, and poured their hearts into every sale. More than just fundraising, these moments allowed students to share their learning by using Chinese with customers—bringing language into action and engaging the broader school community. We sincerely thank all the families who supported this stall, whether through donations, encouragement, or simply stopping by to buy a treat.

In term 2 week 10, we hosted a special Ice Cream and Dumpling Stall during the Year 7–8 MYP Showcase. This event gave us an opportunity to share more about the China Leadership Program with families, staff, and students. Thanks to the tremendous support of our parent community, we strengthened our shared vision of offering students a rich and memorable experience in China.

To every volunteer who gave their time, every student who put in their effort, and every family who offered their generous donations and encouragement—we thank you. Your support has had a real and lasting impact, and it’s clear that when we work together, we can achieve great things.

We are excited to keep you updated on our journey and can’t wait to share more about our overseas adventure this October. Stay tuned and thank you again for being such an important part of our community!
