Diocesan Athletics Carnival: Thursday 7th August, 2025
St Ed's Athletics Carnival
What a fabulous day we had last Thursday for our annual St Edward’s Athletics Carnival. The sun was out and so were the smiles and sportsmanship of our students. There were so many highlights of the day such as the relays, tug of war and even a parent/teacher race! It was heartwarming to see our Kindergarten students take part in their first carnival. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the running, jumping and throwing. A favourite comment being ‘even if I don’t win, I want to go in the 800m to earn a point for my house.’ This shows the magic of sport beautifully. A massive thank you to everyone who helped make the day a success. Without the support of our P & F, teachers, support staff, parents and McCarthy students, days like this can’t go ahead.
A massive thank you to Mrs Katrina Ashford for taking photos of the day. Please head to our St Edward’s Facebook page for all the photos taken from the day.
